Sanz, Jamie

My name is Jamie Sanz. This is my 13th year in elementary education. I taught for 10 years for Frisco ISD (2nd & 4th grade) before staying home with my daughter for several years. I'm super excited to be back at Boggess in 5th grade! My daughter, Abigail, is a current Boggess Bengal. I'm also a stepmom to Nik, a special needs 23-year-old who just finished school at the PISD Solomon Center, and now goes to the My Possibilities day program. I love being a mom and a teacher! I have a passion for teaching and love helping students to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. I strive to help every kiddo to be a risk-taker and to obtain a growth mindset. Some things I hope for students to learn from me are to become life-long learners, that memorable learning happens through discovery and inquiry (being curious and asking questions), and that kindness is everything! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking all the meals, and being outdoors in nature.
